This course is for a Articulated dump truck wheeled and Tractor Dozer 5-day course including CPCS theory and practical tests. Before booking this course, you will need to hold a CITB health, safety and environment test no older than two years from the date it was taken.

What does the course include?

Basic construction, names of components and the purpose and use of all controls and gauges
Use of the operator’s handbook, etc
Pre-use start, running checks and close-down procedure
Preparing the machine for site and road travel
Attaching trailed and mounted implements to the machine
Travelling the machine over different terrain including rough, undulating ground, with mounted and trailed implements
Travelling up and down substantial inclines, with and without mounted and trailed implements
Maneuvering progressing to confined spaces in a forward and reverse direction, with and without mounted and trailed implements
Precautions and actions for underground and overhead services and other hazards
Loading procedures
Placing the Machine in an out-of-service condition
Loading and unloading procedures on and off a transporter

The ADT and Dozer 5 day course is aimed at operators with previous operating experience of both machines. This course is not suitable for novice operators.

5 days

Why do I need it?

Adequate training is a necessary in order to operate plant safely and pass the CPCS red card test. If you want to operate plant on site in the UK you will need to prove that you have the required skill and safety level.

What qualification do I get?

All of our training courses are delivered by our industry experienced instructors all delegates will receive a certificate of training or progress to the CPCS red card test.

What can I do next?

Manual Handling, First Aid, Other Plant & Machinery, NVQ Level 2 in Plant & Machinery – Red Card Operators must undertake this.

Where can I train?

The training can be delivered on your site if it meets the course requirements or at one of our three training centres situated throughout the UK.
