Slinger / Signaller NVQ level 2
Introduction
In order to meet the requirements of the Major Contractors Group (MCG) and House Building Group i.e. a qualified workforce, contractors and subcontractors will have to ensure that their operators have achieved a qualification if they are to work on the majority of construction sites.
What does the course include?
Mandatory Units:
- Conform to general workplace safety
- Conform to efficient workplace practices
- Prepare plant or machinery for operational performance
- Direct and guide the movement of plant and machinery
- Arrange and secure loads

Why do I need it?
This NVQ is a requirement for plant operators who require the blue CPCS competence card in slinging and signaling.
What qualification do I get?
For those who successfully complete the course you will be awarded a CAA NVQ level 2 certificate.
What can I do next?
Once you have successfully completed the course you will be able to upgrade from the red operators card to the blue competency card if you already hold the relevant CPCS practical and theory tests. Alternatively you can undertake the theory and practical tests at one of our centres and on completion gain the blue competency card.

The training can be delivered on your site if it meets the course requirements or at one of our three training centres situated throughout the UK.
