This course provides students with good practical knowledge and engineering skills in a wide area of many aspects of plant engineering equipment to repair and service construction plant.

- A/102/1729 - Dismantle and Assemble Plant and Equipment Components
- M/102/1730 - Maintain the Work Area
- T/102/1731 - Inspect Plant and Equipment for Operational Serviceability
- A/102/1732 - Diagnose Faults in Plant Equipment Systems and Components
Optional Units:
- F/102/1733 - Repair Plant and Equipment by Soldering and Welding
- J/102/1734 - Produce One-Off Components to Assist Plant and Equipment Activities
- L/102/1735 - Move Standard Loads
- R/102/1736 - Install Plant and Equipment for Operational Activities
- Y/102/1737 - Carry Out Specific Tests on Plant Equipment
- D/102/1738 - Configure Plant and Equipment for Operational Activities

Why do I need it?
This NVQ is a requirement for construction plant service engineers who require a CSCS competence card for a Plant service engineer to gain entry to site.
What qualification do I get?
For those who successfully complete the course you will be awarded a CAA NVQ level 2 certificate.
What can I do next?
Once you have successfully completed the course you will be able to progress to an NVQ level 3 in plant maintenance.
Where can I train?
The training can be delivered on your site whilst you carry out your daily duties as a plant service engineer.
