Course Overview

  • A One-Day intensive course for candidates who are experienced in their field, and with some knowledge of NVQs and assessing
  • A Two Day comprehensive course for people who are new to NVQs

The One-Day course aims to confirm your knowledge and understanding of NVQs with emphasis on your own occupation, discussion of how (and how not !) to assess and feed back to people in a manner that is constructive and non-threatening, while being honest and ensuring standards are kept at the right level. If available, we use your own NVQ documentation and make sure that you are familiar with it and feel able to go out assessing.

The Two-Day course covers the same scope but in much more detail, and with more exercises and practical assessments to ensure that candidates are familiar and confident with both the assessment process, and your own organisation’s procedures and documentation.

At the conclusion of both courses we leave you with clear guidance on how to complete your framework A1 Portfolio (also provided) effectively in order to complete their A1 Assessor qualification. We will also provide follow-up support and guidance right after the course right through to Certification.
