Direct Training & Support Level 3

Course Overview

We offer full training in NVQ Direct Training & Support (DT&S) Level 3 which is a qualification designed for trainers in industry who teach both theory and practical. It covers all the skills required by trainers including, but not limited to: interviewing trainees; choosing and creating learning packages; teaching theory in a classroom type environment ; demonstrating; and, teaching practical skills to groups and individuals in the workplace.

We also provide streamlined training and assessment to upgrade existing training qualifications and experience; for example, identifying individual training needs and providing a fast route to qualifications in the 'L-Units' required by CITB Trainers. DT&S Level 3 is regarded as the most widely recognised of all the vocational trainer qualifications and includes the 'L' units that are now required by CITB trainers.

A1 Assessment can offer you a tailor-made package for individuals or small groups to improve teaching skills before completing the NVQ, and flexible, on-the-job assessment. Funding may be available to support some of the costs -

Or, if you are already a experienced trainer, we can start the assessment phase immediately; we can often complete all the required observations in just one working day. All this is done with a flexible and no-nonsense attitude and minimum disruption. We come to you to observe you doing your normal training, and we will help you complete your Portfolio - no requirement to attend lectures or training, and you don't have to spend any time away from work attending college.
