CPC Training

Introduction

For those who passed their test prior to 10th September 2008, the emphasis of the Driver CPC is to maintain the standard reached and to enhance it as your driving experience grows. In addition to ongoing training in specific driving skills, professional drivers following the periodic training courses receive instruction in other matters that concern bus and coach driving, such as efficient and eco-friendly driving and place of the bus and coach in the transport system as a whole. There are no tests for this ongoing training. You are required to attend approved courses totaling at least 35 hours (in periods of at least seven hours at a time) in each five-year period

  • Unit 4: Managing National Road Haulage Operations

How long is the course?

35 Hours

Why do I need it?

For professional drivers qualified to drive buses and coaches and also Lorries, only one set of periodic training (totaling 35 hours) needs to be taken in each five year period. So, if you qualify to drive both kinds of vehicle, you only need to take one lot of periodic training to maintain your professional qualification.

What qualification do I get?

All of our training courses are delivered by our industry experienced instructors all delegates will receive a certificate of training.

What can I do next?

Once you have completed the training course it is possible to progress to a training course for Managers and Supervisors.

Where can I train?

The training can be delivered on your site if it meets the course requirements or at one of our three training centres situated throughout the UK.
