TR Training are opening its doors to our first cohort of apprentices. We would like you to be a part of this new and exciting opportunity and recruit an apprentice with us.
The General Construction Course is offered as part of the apprenticeship programme. It prepares the apprentice towards become a skilled worker in the fields of civil engineering. It has been revised in consultation with the industry and includes training areas that are essential for today’s construction sites.
The world is changing fast. With fierce competition for jobs there’s never been a better time to have marketable skills. But you don’t need to sit in a class all day to get them. With an Apprenticeship you can earn while you’re learning and gain recognised qualifications as you work. TR Training is now offering the following Apprenticeships;

What are Apprenticeships?
As employees, apprentices earn a wage and work alongside experienced staff to gain job-specific skills. Off the job, usually on a day-release basis, apprentices receive training to work towards nationally recognised qualifications. Anyone living in England, over 16 and not in full-time education can apply.
The minimum salary is £95 a week; however, many apprentices earn significantly more.

What does the Apprenticeship include?
Training includes the following as appropriate to the apprentice chosen trade:
- Key / Functional Skills:
- Maths
- English
- Mandatory Induction Programme
- Practical Training - as follows:
- Erecting and dismantling basic working platforms
- Handling and storing materials, plant and equipment
- Operating small construction plant and equipment
- Installing drainage and service ducts
- Basic concreting
- Flexible paving
- Support to excavations
Training Methods
Our apprenticeships include both Practical / hands on and Classroom / tutorial training.
How long is the Apprenticeship?
Our Apprenticeships take up to 18 months to complete.
